Hi, I’m Heather Cronemiller MA, LICSW, CSAT
No matter what you do to stop the cycle of having affairs, falling in love with the wrong people, having emotional affairs, or creating fantasy relationships in your head, you find yourself right back where you started. You feel like you've lost control and have a constant war going on in your head. You are sick of the stress you're under to constantly hide your phone because you don't want your partner to find out about this second life. I can help you get off your current rollercoaster. Together we can find the roots of why you keep doing things that make your life unbearable.
If you're ready to build a life aligned with your values—one where you don’t have to hide parts of yourself—I’m here to help. As a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), I support healing from compulsive sexual behaviors, love addiction, and betrayal trauma so you can live with more joy, peace, and presence. I also use EMDR to heal the roots of behaviors.
I have over 15 years of experience in the field of mental health and addiction treatment. I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT), meaning that I have done over 80 hours of training and supervision specifically to help people with sex and love addiction. And I truly love working with people like YOU! You can learn more about the CSAT certification here.
If you want someone who will understand you, challenge you, support you, and cheer you on, I am here for you! No matter who you are or what you've done I will accept you and help you reach your best life. I would love to help you break free of the chains of shame and create safe and meaningful relationships.
My Approach
Small, Manageable Steps (The 30-Task Model):
Through every step, we've focused on staying true to our values and making space for thoughtful, lasting work.
Helping Your Brain Heal (EMDR Therapy):
Sometimes, logic isn’t enough to stop an urge. We use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help "quiet" the brain's alarm system. By healing the old traumas and triggers that fuel the addiction, we can finally turn down the volume on the impulse to act out.
Stop the cycle of double lives, secret behaviors, and the crushing weight of betrayal trauma. Whether you are struggling to regain control of your own actions or fighting to find your footing after a partner’s infidelity, expert clinical support is the first step toward lasting peace.
A Safe Way to the Truth (Full Disclosure):
For couples, the "truth" can feel terrifying. I guide you through a gentle, 3-stage clinical disclosure process. This ensures that everything is brought into the light in a way that prioritizes safety and honesty, allowing you to build a brand-new foundation that isn't based on secrets.
Healing Your Younger Self:
Much of our struggle with intimacy comes from old wounds we've carried since childhood. Using the heart of the "Going Deeper" approach, we’ll look at those early needs with kindness, helping you move from "surviving" to finally experiencing safe and loving connections.
